Pearl is a very sweet 7 year old Shih Tzu. She is a puppy mill survivor rescued by Hubbard's Hounds Dog Rescue based in Homer, NY.

After two years with her adoptive family she was returned to the rescue early December because of medical issues. She had one golf ball sized tumor that necessitated immediate surgery to remove and other smaller tumors. The rescue found out late December that her cancer is aggressive and she will need to have a radical mastectomy on January 17th.

Hubbard's Hounds Dog Rescue is a non-profit organization, 501(c)(3) corporation, dedicated to the rescue and re-homing of dogs in need. Their continued success is dependent upon donations from the public. All donations (100%) go to the care and adoption of the dogs they rescue. They do not give up on any dog because they are sick or have baggage.

We will be hosting a "Pennies for Pearl" collection in the café. This collection is to help offset the cost of Perl's surgeries and each penny will be greatly appreciated!
